Who we are

Winter Styled is written by a small, independent editorial team. Every article on the site is published under the name "Winter Styled Editorial Team" rather than under individual bylines. We cover winter accessories, cozy footwear and cold-weather style, with a focus on fit, warmth and care. We don't publish invented names, photos, job titles or credentials, and we don't claim professional qualifications we don't have. We're not a fashion brand or retailer. Guides explain fit, materials and care so you can choose well; sizes and materials vary by brand, so always check the product details. You can read more about the site on our About page.

How we research

We start from questions readers commonly ask and build each article from sources we can link to. Depending on the topic, these include brands' own size charts, material and care pages (for example boot, sock and outerwear makers), public health guidance such as the CDC on staying safe in extreme cold, and patterns in public customer reviews about fit and sizing. We use manufacturers' specifications and product pages to check size charts, materials, insulation and care instructions, and where it helps we look at recurring patterns in public reader and customer reviews, such as common sizing or durability comments. We use AI writing tools to help with research and first drafts; every article is then reviewed and edited by the team, and facts are checked against the linked sources before it is published. Our Editorial Policy explains this process in more detail.

How we choose products

We don't run a testing lab, and we don't claim to have tested products hands-on unless an article clearly says so. Instead, our guides explain what to look for, and product links usually go to Amazon search results for a product type rather than to a single listing, so you can compare current options, prices and reviews yourself. When we suggest a type of product, we look at:

We don't accept payment to include a product, and brands don't review our articles before they are published.

How we keep articles up to date

We review articles periodically, and sooner when a source we rely on changes, for example when official guidance is updated or a product is discontinued. Each article shows an "Updated" date at the top; it changes when we make a meaningful edit to the content, not just when the page is rebuilt.

Corrections

If you spot a mistake or something out of date, please contact us with the page address and what looks wrong. We check every report, fix confirmed errors and update the article's date.

Affiliate links and ads

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. If you buy through an Amazon link on Winter Styled, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The site may also show ads. Neither affects which topics we cover or what we suggest. Details are on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
